Blackmarket where babies are sold in Nigeria, (Documentary video)
Some months back, Alliances for Africa conducted an investigative report on the menace of Baby factory, otherwise known as child harvesting.
In 2017, the then governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, accented to law, the Imo state protection of babies law. This law, however, has so many lapses and falls short in prescribing appropriate punishments for perpetrators.
This is one of many steps taken by Alliances for Africa to curb this heinous crime of human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
Efforts are being made; sensitisations and campaigns are carried out, to enlighten the public on the dangers and criminality of this act.
