Justice in Motion: The UN Report on Chibok Girls, 10 Years Later

Justice in Motion: The UN Report on Chibok Girls, 10 Years Later

The path to justice is long, but every step counts.

Ten years ago, when the Chibok girls were first abducted, Alliances for Africa, together with our partners WRAPA, wrote to the UN Committee, urging them to investigate the Nigerian government’s response to this grave injustice.

That bold step set in motion a chain of events that led to a UN investigation two years ago.

Today, we see a crucial milestone: the release of the official United Nations report.

This report is not just a document; it is proof that voices raised with courage and persistence can move global institutions to act.

We are immensely proud that Alliances for Africa and WRAPA played a pivotal role as key facilitators in making and ensuring that the UN Committee met with and spoke to victims, parents, community leaders, and key stakeholders.
